RealFast: connecting a sign or display to a useful reply

How I built RealFast to connect a sign or display to a configured text reply, useful product information and a record of the enquiry.

In brief

Someone looking at a property sign, a vehicle or a shop window often wants more information at that moment. I built RealFast around a familiar action: send a text containing a short code. The system returns the response associated with that code and records the enquiry for the business.

The problem and context

A sign has limited room. It can attract attention while leaving the person with practical questions about the thing in front of them. The business also has little visibility into that interest until the person makes contact.

RealFast connects that physical point of interest to a phone conversation. Its public presentation begins with real estate and also demonstrates uses for dealerships, retail, events and restaurant information. These are product examples, rather than a claim that each sector has become a paying customer.

What I built and how it works

The operator sets up a code and the response it should return. That response can include details and a link to a page with more information. The code can then appear on the relevant sign, display or printed material.

When someone texts the code, the application identifies the matching campaign and sends its configured response. The business can review the resulting message activity. Where configured, a later follow-up adds another message to that sequence.

The important design decision is the connection between the code and its context. A person asking about a particular item should receive the information prepared for that item. The business needs to keep that information current as availability, dates or offers change.

Where AI helps

AI-assisted development helped me build and refine the application. The text-code lookup and configured replies are ordinary application behaviour. The response comes from the content configured for the code; a conversational AI is not writing a fresh answer to each inbound text.

RealFast’s public website presents the product and its examples. The separate application handles the messages and campaign records. Its underlying messaging service also supports a separate LeadsBox alert workflow, which has a different audience and purpose.

Human control

The operator chooses the codes, content, destination pages and any configured follow-up. Someone still needs to handle the personal conversation that follows an enquiry and review whether the sequence is appropriate for its audience.

A text received by the system shows that someone initiated contact. It does not establish buying intent, a completed sale or permission for unrelated future campaigns.

Supported result and limits

The research supports a working application and a public product demonstration covering several contexts. The real-estate examples use sample listing data. A demonstration should be labelled accordingly.

I haven’t attached a measured conversion uplift, response-time guarantee or revenue claim to this case. The public examples show the intended interaction. Delivery and follow-up still need to be checked for the particular campaign.

Frequently asked questions

Does the customer need to install an app?

The demonstrated interaction starts with an ordinary SMS message containing a code.

Is RealFast the same as LeadsBox?

RealFast responds to a prospective customer’s texted code. LeadsBox alerts a business’s staff when a website form enquiry arrives.

Is this an AI receptionist?

This example uses configured text replies. A conversational voice agent needs its own case and demonstration.
